Hey there! I am no different from most of you. I spend most of my time working, yes the very known 9 to 6 desk job. I like my job, but Iāve had a keen interest in baking, cooking or food in general since forever. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to find the balance between your work and personal life. There's always a moment of realization that strikes when you love something. I began baking at an early age and that was only limited to chocolate cakes just to indulge my sweet tooth. I was enamored with anything cake, and of course, there was a ton to learn. Eventually my cakes got better and better ā and better! I'm pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to bake good cakes especially when one lovesāem.

Do you love science? I do! Coz for me Baking is all about science, using the right tools and pan sizes, the right ingredients, the difference in fold, stir and beat, the mix and cream, following techniques, some baking knowledge and try and tryā¦. So hereās my theory of science.š

I go about asking the likes and interests of my clients and try to come up with something that incorporates the clientās idea as well as mine. My experiences include a few flea markets, blogging, baking the best cakes for my clients and most importantly a hustle that keeps me going. I hope to own a cafe someday!

When you give baking a chance, you will likely find your own reasons to love it. For me, itās all about the process, getting my hands coated in flour, measuring, stirring and (best of all) sitting back while the intoxicating scent of baking cake fills the entire house.

There have been certain pauses and breaks due to my professional commitments. Nevertheless I managed to get my passion back on track and manage two pages now - Elsiās Baking Happiness on FB and @the.fat.table on Instagram which is more of a blog where I share my experiences and recipes :)
Lastly, if you now want to resuscitate the passion that was put aside? Perhaps, itās never too late.
